Join us in taking a stand against hate speech |

Hi Michael,

We’re always working to serve our community of athletes and give you clear information and control over what you share on Strava. In that spirit, we’ve made a few updates to our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Community Standards. Here are the highlights:

  • Hatred has no place in the Strava community. Period. We’ve added a hate speech policy to our Community Standards to make this even more explicit.
  • Brazil’s new data protection law (the LGPD) gives athletes in Brazil certain rights regarding their personal information. Here’s more information if you live there, and if not, know that we still extend the same suite of privacy tools and controls to all Strava athletes.

And here’s a quick refresher on our policies and your privacy on Strava:

  • The Privacy Label is a great way to get a clear, no-nonsense look at Strava privacy practices. Check it out! It’s like the nutritional labels at the grocery store, but for privacy.
  • We didn’t sell your personal data before, and we don’t sell it now. It’s that simple.
  • Please use your privacy controls and read our policies. They’re all designed to empower you with information and control over your experience on Strava. Review and adjust your privacy controls regularly. Set a privacy zone. Visit our Privacy Center for all the details you need in one place.

We take your privacy and experience seriously and hope these changes lead to safer, happier activities for everyone. Thanks for being a part of this amazing community.

The Strava Team
