The wine is almost intense and if you close your eyes you might imagine your are drinking a light red. Vincent is a great fan of the acidity in Vaillons and this example proves his point. A combination of green apple and pear fruits, concentration and a mineral, vibrant edge, with that acidity holding everything together. A very energetic wine with a saline character on the finish. Burghound 93 🖤 A cool, airy and beautifully well-layered nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, iodine, ocean scents and a whiff of lemon-lime. There is terrific intensity, indeed it's borderline painful, along with fine delineation to the stony and lilting medium-bodied flavors that exude a bracing salinity on the impressively long and persistent finale. This lovely effort is well-worth considering.
